W Hollywood
On our trip to L.A., in addition to shopping, visiting friends and getting our hair did, we had the opportunity to tour several hotels, including the brand new W Hollywood. The center piece of the lobby is the sweeping, red-carpeted staircase that is described as a cross between Scarlett O'Hara and Andy Warhol.
The red carpet theme is carried throughout, even the stairs leading to the entryway from the car port.
The rooms are spacious
and the hotel features plenty of suites with room for pre-partying. Several have terraces.
The rooftop pool bar will open later this year, featuring Drai's Hollywood, a club by Victor Drai. That's sure to be the scene of many an epic after-party.
The rates are affordable, with rooms starting at $299 a night.

Ooo. That looks fabulous. I love it!
How cool! I hear Drais is the place to be now that it's open.
