Finally—after a long, long summer, we get to find out if Blair is really marrying her prince and who is pregnant this time... Eh—who really cares? We gave up on the plot a few seasons ago and like everyone else, we're only watching for the clothes.

Though the season premier is still several weeks away, out takes of Gossip Girl are finding their way onto the interwebs. Serena/Blake Lively was spotted wearing a Jenny Packham gown and these stunning Raphael Young leopard print and sequin pumps.

The plot of Gossip Girl may have jumped the shark, but we'll still be tuning in every Monday to catch the fashion. While this past week's episode was a little heavy on maxi dresses--which we loved during the summer, but have already relegated to the back of the closet--we did like the accessories, at least. Nate's new girlfriend, the Republican Bree Buckley, played by Joanna Garcia (New York Yankee's Nick Swisher's real life rumored girlfriend), was carrying the Be & D Cosette Satchel, similar to the one below, available at Bloomies.

Miss the Rachel Leigh sample sale on Gilt.com on Friday? We did--and we were pretty bummed about it. Her flirtie, girlie pieces add the right punch of color to many a JSG outfit. This fall, we've been wearing our custom made ribbon wrapped bangles in gold, brown, red and black that were a gift from Clairol back in our beauty editor days (Get it? Each bangle represents a hair color.) Her Audrey enamel bracelet was featured on Gossip Girl--of course Audrey Hepburn-fanatic Blair wore it.

Alas, we were on our way to a lunch date on Friday and not near a computer at the noon-time start time. When we got home post-lunch, we looked over the offerings and were depressed that nearly every piece of her funky, wearable jewelry was sold out. Fortunately, JSG is not that easily deterred when we want something.

Gossip Girl Fashion

If you're like us, you were glued to the season premiere of Gossip Girl last night. (Is it just us, or is Chuck getting a lot hotter?) The show is totally addictive, not only for it's over-the-top story lines, glam NYC and Hamptons' locations and gorgeous cast--it's those killer clothes that draw us in. Remember how in Sex and the City, New York was frequently called the fifth main character, well, the wardrobe is like that in GG.

We love Blair's dress she wore to the white party. It's sexy without being trampy and innocent without being prudish. The halter neckline is totally flattering and the eyelet is young and fun. Thanks to the folks at InStyle, we know it's Marc by Marc Jacobs, paired with killer Chloe shoes and a Jennifer Behr headband. For more looks from last night's premier, click here.

As any fashionista worth her salt knows, it's the accessories that make an outfit. Blair, Serena and Jenny certainly have that down. One trend we saw a lot last season and are set to see more of this upcoming season is the headband.



Fortunately, unlike the Chanel bag and Jimmy Choo shoes, this is one trend we can afford, thanks to the Glamarama and Iconoclass collections from Goody.

Gossip Girls' Summer Vacation

We couldn't resist this slide show of Gossip Girl's filming in the Hamptons, courtesy of People.com. Looks like Blair and Serena know how to do a girls' trip up right! It offers a few clues as to what is going to happen next season, which starts on September 1. Though all we really care about is if Dan and Serena are going to get back together--they are the cutest couple ever!

The slide show was far more entertaining than the NYTime's story, "Forget Gossip, Girl; the Buzz is About the Clothes," which was published Tuesday. Haven't we all known that for the past 10 months? Way to be on top of the trends, Gray Lady.
