On Our Radar: Lavo at the Palazzo Las Vegas

The new Palazzo Resort in Las Vegas, the Venetian's sister property, opened the Lavo Nightclub this week. From the people who brought us Tao, Lavo is a three part space, from the lounge which is suited for early evening drinks and bites, to the restaurant specializing in Mediterranean fare from LA star chef Ludo Lefebvre, and finally across the bridge to the second floor nightclub. Open every night except Monday, closing in the wee hours and featuring hot DJ's like Vice, Berrie and Reach, Lavo is on our must list next time we're in town. Better yet, we'll be able to wear some of our fave gold sequin outfits and JSG Anne can have a reason to get that sexy number from Cusp she found.

The Sugarcane Boutique Nightclub also opened this month at the Palazzo. Located adjacent to the Sushisamba, Sugarcane has Latin and Asian influences- think Brazilian graffiti art and Japanese pop music in an industrial space. This one will have to pass inspection before we recommend it.

Have you been to these yet? If so, give us the scoop!

This is great--I've been dying to go to Vegas (never been) and the toss up now will be between the Palazzo and the Wynn Las Vegas...

I am a regular in Veags about once/twice a month, coming from L.A. I have heard a lot of good things from buddies that run Prive and Pure. I plan on going soon, so I will post what I find. I still have my favorites...LAX, Pure and Prive.

Everyone should definetly check out LAVO! The concept of LAVO is amazing with a bathhouse inspiration from ancient Mediterranean culture, and one of the most amazing menus on the strip. LAVO is a great place for dinner, drinks, and dancing!

I went to Lavo for the opening and I can't even begin to tell you what a great experience me and my friends had! We had dinner, which is a cool new concept to me of small share size portions so everyone got to taste a lot of different variety. The specialty cocktails I had heard about and I've definitely become a fan of one called the "uva blanco". Once we went into the club, our waitress was not only sweet but gorgeous as well, not to mention the service was amazing! I didn't even have to tell the waitress I wanted another drink, she would have a new one ready to go and remember what I had!! That to me is fantastic in it self. She also told us about the making of Lavo, the Roman Bath House theme and that many of the pieces were made and imported from Morroco. As a whole, I would say that Lavo is definitely one of a kind!

Was at both Lavo and Sugarcane this past weekened.

First, Sugarcane. The place was absolutely packed as it was a party hosted by the cast of Entourage. We managed to get passed the bouncers and into their section so obviously I have no complaints about the service (drinks for free all night). Music was good, place was a bit small for the number of people there.

Lavo - went to Lavo on 9/20. Reserved a table ahead of time. What an experience. They set us up with an excellent corner booth table right next to one of the raised dancing stages. The customer service was outstanding -- the servers were at our whim. The club is the perfect size, not overly huge but not so small that you can't move. They played terrific music -- transiting smoothly from top 40 to 80s hits and back to top 40 again. Best club I've been to in Las Vegas.

This is my third time to Lavo and as always I had so much fun!!! I booked a table this time around, so worth it!!! The location was perfect and the service was impeccable. Every time I've been there are always celebrities to see or sit right next to. It's definitely the new IT place.

This place is amazing, no trouble getting in, they don't make you wait outside in a long line like the other clubs, just to make it appear busier than it really is. I go to Lavo every time Im in Vegas!

Go to Lavo, they make it rain money all the time. I managed to get $57 tonight, but last week we left with at least over a $100 each. There are always celebrities there too. It's just always a good time there...by the way I work at another nightclub on the strip and I still refer people to Lavo.
