
Like all of you, we were pretty taken with this photo of
Brad Pitt from the February issue of W taken by Chuck Close. It's pretty brave of anyone, much less an A-list celebrity, to let anyone photograph them that closely. It also gave us deja vu...

That photo is from Martin Schoeller's
Close Up
and was taken in 2004. Schoeller is a photographer for the
New Yorker, a contemporary of Close's and his book of tight portraits includes Brad's paramour, Angelina Jolie, Barrack Obama, Sting, A-Rod and more. Besides the facial hair, Brad is significantly more wrinkley four years later. Perhaps it's all those late nights with the twins?
