A Peek Inside Ashley Thompson's Carry On

NYC's Fashion Week is winding down on Friday, but not before the big Rioja Fashion Week After Party at Owl's Lab. The event features Project Runway’s Kevin Christiana and Jack Mackenroth and is open to the public. Here are the deets: Owl's Lab Boutique at 20 E. 12th street from 6-9 PM.

Before all this fashion week madness started, we had the chance to virtually look into Ashley Thompson's, the owner of the chic Owl's Lab Boutique, carry on bag before she jetted off to Cabo.

Because Ashley often travels with her Shih Tzu, Cashmere, one of her carry on bags is frequently a classic Sherpa.

To stay warm on the plane, Ashley relies on a wrap like this one from Splendid, available at Owl's Lab.
Ashley has DJ friends who make mix cd's for her iPod Touch, but she does admit to having a penchant for "cheesy" stuff, including Jordin Sparks and the Jonas Brothers.


"I'm a little scared to fly, so I like to read funny and silly books on the plane," Ashley says. She recently picked up Skinny Bitch on a flight back from L.A. "I liked the totally blunt tone and have incorporated a couple of the tips into my lifestyle."


As for beauty products, Ashley says "Epicuren makes the best facial products that exist!" She also likes Aquaphor for her lips and NARS Orgasm blush, "because it makes you look flush after a plane trip."
