We're on the road again, this time to Austin, Tx. --live music capital of the world, home to all things organic, and the fabulous Lake Austin Spa. That's the Driskill Hotel where we'll be staying above.We totally appreciated your suggestions for our trip to Charleston and would love to get some input about Austin. You must go to the Hula Hut, located on Lake Austin! mmm, yummy and fun. Also check out Amy's ice cream (this is a small austin chain) Another super wonderful Austin tradition it Kerbey Lane cafe-multiple locations--the BEST pancakes, and you can get breakfast 24hrs a day. And Stubb's BBQ-or any BBQ really-find the one that looks the grungiest and it will be the best, LOL.
as for culture, I love the Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower center.
I used to live there. Ask for a ghost tour of the hotel.
Antone's Nightclub is a huge blues ignition and well known amongst renowned blues artists who've played there.
