All-You-Can-Jet from Jet Blue

We once again missed Jet Blue's All-You-Can-Jet promotion! If you were one of the lucky ones to score an all you can jet pass, For $699 (plus taxes*) you can fly as much as you want on any route Jet Blue flies from September 7 to October 6. Our dream itinerary would include a stop in Ft. Lauderdale to check out the W (above) before island hopping around the Caribbean from Atlantis in the Bahamas to Jamaica to Dominican Republic then on down to Bogota. From there we would fly to New Orleans for some po' boys, Sazeracs and beignets (below).

Before heading to Austin for a music fix. We would finally take that trip we've been talking about to Cancun, before heading west. Our first stop on the second leg of our tour would be Phoenix to detox at a spa (below).

From there it's off to L.A.. We'll end the trip with a weekend bender in Vegas before heading back to NYC to pass out!

*Be forewarned: Those taxes can add up fast and furious!

Bachelorette Party Ideas #18: Bachelortte Party Playlist

Every great bachelorette party needs a rockin' playlist--listen to it while getting dressed or in the limo while bar hopping.

Lasso by Phoenix: It's been a long time since we've wanted to meet a French guy and picking a favorite member from this band is impossible- they're all super cute hipster dudes with accents! Check them out performing "1901" above.

Clap Your Hands by Sia (this gets inside your head and stays there for days)

Dominos by The Big Pink

All the Right Moves by One Republic: All the right friends in all the right places? Check--got that one covered.

Kandi by One Eskimo

I'm Awesome by Spose: because we have to throw in one zinger

Tighten Up by the Black Keys

Just for Tonight by One Night Only: "Then we'll stay for the weekend/And leave without a trace" is the new "What happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas."

Paparazzi (Stuart Price Remix) by Lady Gaga: One of the best dance tunes out there

Put a Ring on It by Beynocé: Ya, it's a year old, but this song is now the eternal anthem of bachelorette parties everywhere!

Late-Summer Beach Reads

If you've already powered through our list of summer beach reads, here are a few more to get you through Labor Day.

There's nothing like a little schadenfreude to go along with that glass of sauvignon blanc while you while away the hours on a lounge chair.  The Recessionistas is an insider's look at fictional families during the 2008 Wall Street bust. Author Alexandra Lebenthal is the CEO of a wealth management firm and a regular on David Patrick Columbia's site, so she's writing about a life she knows well. You can't help but feel a little smug about the simple saneness of your life when you read about how one character has to decide between $500 highlights and reducing her maid's hours. She chooses the latter.

For a hearty laugh, read Alphabet City: My So-Called Sitcom Life by John Paul Buchmeyer, a fellow blogger. It's the true story of JP's life as he envisions it as a sitcom akin to a gay Mary Tyler Moore. It's full of madcap story lines, knee-slapping moments and plenty of special guest stars, including Whoopi Goldberg and Tyra Banks.

Our friend, Shannon, recommends The Girls from Ames: A Story of Women and a Forty-Year Friendship. This heartwarming non-fiction story follows the lives of 11 women from Ames, Iowa who have been friends for 40-years plus. The easy read is a celebration of the power of friendship between women--an idea we wholeheartedly support!

Bachelorette Party Ideas #17: South Beach Splurge at the W

The W Hotel treated us well on our last trip to South Beach. We loved the big rooms, the gorgeous lobby (pictured above), the nightclub, the pool scene, and of course the people watching. While it's a splurge compared to the Colony Hotel, it was worth it! Their "Live Your Life" package comes with a rockin' three story bungalow with a private plunge pool and bar-b-que. We're a little weary about the Mr. Chow dinner that's included ($200 credit), because our meal there wasn't the best. We recommend not over-ordering.

Here's what else the "Live Your Life" package includes:
Fully stocked bar (we polished this off ourselves one afternoon!)
Day cabana at WET (look out for celebs- they love a cabana at the W)
Limo and driver for the night (4 hours)
In-room munchies upon return (you'll need it)

Available through September. 30, 2010.
