Milly Spring '09 Backstage

Our apologies for being a little slow getting this one posted. We just woke up from a very, very long nap!

Romy Soleimani did the makeup for the Milly Spring '09 show, creating a look she says was inspired by late 1960s' debutantes hanging out with rock stars at the end of the summer in Morocco. She used a pale creamy color on the eyelid, with a hint of gold on the corner of the eye, loads of bronzer and pale pink lips. For the body, she used liberal amounts of MAC Sundressing to give legs that sun-kissed look.

Kevin Ryan complemented the look with thick, healthy hair that was braided down the back. "We want it to look styled with out being overdone or over-blowdried."

Milly Spring '09We watched the Milly show from the very swank American Express Sky box.

Milly Spring '09Unfortunately, we weren't allowed to take photos from the box during the show. The curtains are opened right before the start of the show.

On Our Radar: Hotel Cipriani Gondola Massage

gondola massage hotel cipriani The Hotel Cipriani in Venice is offering a spa experience like no other: the gondola massage! The hotel's Casanova Spa offers the 40 minute massage in a Venetian lagoon. The gentle rocking of the gondola is complemented by a specially designed mat and a focus on the neck, shoulders and back, ending with a foot massage and tea in the hotel's garden.

This splurge combines so many things we love: an exciting European city, a world class Orient- Express hotel, and a spa treatment you can't get anywhere else in the world.

The Body Shop Aloe Skin Care

Aloe is the goto treatment for too much sun or burns in general because of its natural soothing powers, which is why we were intrigued with the line of Aloe skin care products at The Body Shop. We've been using the Aloe Protective Serum for a week and notice that our skin is smoother and softer and the redness around our nose is less noticeable. Per instructions, this is best used between toning and moisturizing. It contains pre-biotics, by adding good bacteria to your skin to fend off the bad.

We recommend the Aloe Starter Kit for your next trip, including cleanser, toner, day and night creams. Hey, if you don't have a chance to order it beforehand or if you forget your regular regimen, pick it up at one of their airport locations.

Target Bodega Party and Jerry Seinfeld

Jerry Seinfeld
Last night we got a sneak peek at one of the Target Bodega stores that are popping up around Manhattan (57th and 6th; Union Square, Soho and the East Village) and open to the public starting today. We were almost as excited to see Jerry Seinfeld make a cameo at the event as we were to be able to score Jonathan Saunders clothes before they sold out in our size!

We bought a cute Jonathan Saunders T-shirt and a black shirt dress. We weren’t so sure about the dress until we got it home and tried it on for our SO, who declared he loved it before we even finished buttoning it up. Looks like a keeper! Our friend Robyn tried on the Jackson Pollock inspired dress (below), but decided against it, even though we thought it looked fab on her.

The hot item of the night was definitely this Anya Hindmarch clutch. It sold out even before we could get our hands on one. Fortunately we hear the stores are getting a new shipment on Friday and a certain salesman has agreed to set one aside for us. Get there early to score yours!

DanniJo Jewelry Discount

Fashion Week introduced us via an Absolut-filled fete at NYC's Tailor on Monday night to this line of classic meets rock n' roll jewelry that we couldn't be more excited about. DanniJo, created by sisters Danielle and Jodie Snyder, uses a combination of silver, gold, gunmetal, and brass with semi-precious stones.

Here's the Jolie necklace from the Joie de Vivre collection. We love the contrast of the rhodium mesh back with the flower and petal pearls.

The Allesandra necklace from the Medieval Princess collection with silver and crystal would look just as good with a LBD as it would with sexy jeans and stilettos.

The Etta necklace, made by dipping chain mail in 18 KG, from the Classic collection could be the statement necklace you've been looking for this season.
