Review: Victoria's Secret Miraculous Bra--a Boob Job in a Bra

I'll admit--I often wish I had bigger boobs. I consider myself a small B. So when the new Victoria's Secret Miraculous Bra arrived on my doorstep, courtesy of Victoria's Secret and Robert Verdi, I ripped open the package and tried it on.

The bra is said to "instantly add up to 2 full cup sizes for maximum cleavage". As you can tell from the photos, no argument there! I found the shorter I made the straps, the closer to each other and higher my boobs got. The effect was sexier, while less comfortable. I do think the results are pretty realistic looking under my T-shirt and I do appreciate that the extra padding makes my waist look smaller. I joked on twitter that I now knew what I would look like if I ever did get a breast enlargement.

No surprise, my hubby appreciated the new me and even said he liked the way the padding felt.

Feel free to disagree with me, but I do think larger boobs are sexier. I can wear a dress cut to my navel, but when there's nothing to see, I think I look thin or, at best, athletic.

In all honesty, I'm a little scared to leave the house wearing the Miraculous bra! I get enough attention as it is on the streets of NYC (as does any female New Yorker who makes an effort about her appearance), I can only imagine the catcalls when I have a size D rack. I suddenly know what my more endowed friends have to deal with.

One of the reasons I've wanted bigger breasts is so that my clothes fit better. I do often wear padded bras to fill out my tops. But with the Miraculous bra, it was hard to find tops that would button over it. So I guess there has to be a happy medium somewhere.

For now, I like having the option of being little old "B" me or a sex kitten with a "D" cup.

Boy do we need to work out! We have three big trips on our horizon: to Austin to visit college girlfriends, on a cruise (bikini time, oh yes), and the S.O.'s high school reunion in Chicago. Booty Pop Padded Panties

We're not entirely convinced there's value to adding padding to our rears, but apparently that's exactly what a lot of you out there are doing. WWD reported last week that L.A.'s uber-boutique Kitson has been selling 25 to 30 pairs of Booty Pop panties a week where it was called "the sleeper hit of the summer." The idea is that the padding in these panties will make your booty pop to fill out a pair of jeans. Co-Creator Susan Bloomstone came up with the idea for them after reading about young girls getting butt implants. If you try them out, let us know how they work!

Hanky Panky Online

As devoted fans, we were excited to hear about the new Hanky Panky website. We've been wearing their low rise thongs for a couple of years now--they eliminate the trashy "whale tale" when we're wearing our fave Joe's Jeans. The website, while gorge and a lot of fun (we love the striptease pen on the home page), is a total tease. You see, you can only look at the offerings, not touch. (It's not an e-commerce site.) It does refer you to stores in your area where the lingerie line is sold, but that doesn't help when you're trying to find one specific racy cami. For now, stick with sites like Figleaves (which has the featured rose garden cami on sale for $29.50) and Shopbop.

Go Commando: The New Way to Avoid a Panty Line

Do you go commando? One of us JSGs does, at least sometimes. You see, she never converted over to thongs 100%. They aren't as comfortable as her Calvins; though she's got a collection of Hanky Pankies for when she wears a dress. Then Friday a sample of Commandos came in the mail. They're constructed like a very thin, soft cotton pantyliner that sticks to your jeans, shaped like a double-butterfly. They protect your personals from the stiff fabric of your pants, there's no VPL, and there's no Monica thong view either. We wore them twice this weekend, to a concert and to a bar-b-que, and they were great. Better yet, no one knew we were going commando!

Spanx A Lot!

At our friend’s wedding last spring, a friend called us into the bathroom and lifted her dress to show us she was wearing Spanx. We were more shocked to find out that even the skinniest girl at the wedding had them on! Well, while we can certainly use the help, they can be a bit restrictive and they definitely aren’t sexy, even if they were Gwyneth’s choice post-childbirth.
We’re sure there a lot of Spanx fans out there so we’ll go easy on ‘em and share our fave Spanx product: their reversible tights.
