Christies Earth Day Auction

All You Need is Jealousy Damien Hirst

In honor of the 40th Earth Day on April 22, Christie's is hosting "A Bid to Save the Earth." Proceeds from the artwork and experiences benefit Conservation International, Oceana, Natural Resources Defense Council, and the Central Park Conservancy. Celebs expected to walk the green carpet are Leonardo Dicaprio, Harrison Ford, Tobey Maguire, Salma Hayek, Alec Baldwin, Cameron Diaz and more.

Included in the auction are his and her bespoke suits, made of sustainable fabric, custom fitted by Stella McCartney herself; a $10,000 credit to Vera Wang, plus lunch with the designer, and a fitting with Giorgio Armani for a gown plus two tickets to next year’s Vanity Fair Oscar party so you have somewhere to wear the frock.

It's not all fashion items on the block: Artists Damien Hirst (that's his "All You Need is Jealousy" silkscreen above) and Keith Tyson and photographer David LaChapelle have donated original artworks for the auction.

Watch the auction live on April 22 at 7:30 EST on a Bid to Save the Earth.

Best Friend Bags

Remember those little heart necklaces you would break in two and share with your BFF back in the day? This Rebecca Minkoff take on the trend is a modern way to share your affection with your bestie! These are coin purses, but we would use ours to hold our lipgloss in our carry ons. Too cute!

Available at Bloomingdales.

Jodi Arnold for The Limited

We attended an event introducing the new line of Jodi Arnold for The Limited in Tysons Corner, Va. Judging by the hundreds of enthusiastic women there, we'd say it was a success.

Jodi Arnold Event Tyson's Corner

Jodi was there personally to introduce the line and describe each of the pieces during the fashion show.

Jodi shared that she grew up shopping at the Limited. Her designer line starts at $300 for a top; but her line for the Limited has tops from $49 and dresses from $98. The pieces were designed to coordinate with The Limited's Spring 2010 Collection.  "My passion for design is driven by love of fabric, texture, and prints," says Jodi, "and my need for newness pushed me to find the next way to evolve my collection for The Limited."

We came home with a couple of tops including this navy t with a removable necklace:

Jodi's easy to wear dresses were a hit.  The tops are cotton and the skirts were silk:

And this print which was inspired by abstract underwater sea art was available in a top and a dress.

DKNY and the New York Yankees

DKNY billboard at Yankee Stadium

We're so psyched that one of our our favorite lines, DKNY, is sponsoring our all time favorite baseball team, the New York Yankees. That's the billboard above, in right field. Those seated in the Champion and Legends suites have access to the exclusive DKNY Lounge.

Now, if only DKNY would make some cute fan gear, we would be all set! For now, we're making do with Alyssa Milano's Fandalia line.

Here's Donna with Yankee pitcher Joba Chamberlain last week on opening day.
